Community Groups

It’s about the People!

We’ve played for many different community groups in many different lineups with different music to suit the occasion. The bands are often used as a draw card for fundraisers and the interactive nature in particular of the themed bushdances is ideal for community groups looking for a good social night.

The common thread though is it’s allllll about the people. For community groups, more so than other people we play for, we’re often working with a lot of volunteers and people who have worked really hard at putting together a night for the benefit of others. So when we come to play– we keep this at the forefront of everything we do.

Aside from live music, I’ve run songwriting workshops for community groups and written commissioned songs for them. Read more about the workshops and songs commissioned by community groups and for videos of community events visit my YouTube channel or the Swamp Dawkins channel.

And what they’ve said…

COULDN’T HAVE ASKED FOR A BETTER NIGHT!

Couldn’t have asked for a better night! The village of O’Connell came out in force – and wasn’t disappointed. Great time was had by all.

A month after the event customers are stoping me in the street wanting to know when will Swamp Dawkins will be back?!
