Every gig is important to us– but weddings especially so and I consider it a great privilege to be invited to help people celebrate such an important day with their closest friends and family.
Most of the weddings we do are for people wanting a day that has a relaxed but energetic feel, one that involves all the guests and has music and dancing that is in harmony with the venue which is typically a rural or semi-rural setting. Venues such as vineyards, farms, barns and woolsheds make fantastic settings for weddings and Swamp Dawkins is a perfect fit for such atmospheres.
The called dancing is a fantastic way to bring guests together and get all the guest mixing on the dance floor and we have special dances as well just for the couple and their entourage for them to enjoy their time in the spotlight aswell.
It’s Tailored for You
To make sure that everything is tailored for your wedding there’s a few things we make sure happen:
- We’ll meet with you before your day to put names to faces, go through your plans for the celebrations, and to talk about the music and dances you’d prefer and what we know works well;
- We don’t play to a fixed time limit so that no-one needs to watch the clock and you will never be in the position of guests wanting to party on but the band calling it’s time;
- We’ll work with your MC and/or event planner directly on the day so that we don’t get in your way and so that you can focus on enjoying your moment;
- You’re welcome to use our PA for any audio needs– speeches, preferred iPod music etc.– so that you don’t need to hire additional PA equipment or worry about working with more people than you need to.
